<div class="section" id="ddm_05_0013__section05781558132917"><h4 class="sectiontitle">Procedure</h4><ol id="ddm_05_0013__o695f2c1c7b614765a3d9eb5e257b0bbd"><li id="ddm_05_0013__li19589133944314"><span>Log in to the management console.</span></li><li id="ddm_05_0013__li177122044194315"><span>Click <span><img id="ddm_05_0013__image18845450164319" src="en-us_image_0000001685147590.png"></span> in the upper left corner and select a region and a project.</span></li><li id="ddm_05_0013__li1349185417150"><span>Click <span><img id="ddm_05_0013__image5851018166" src="en-us_image_0000001733146405.png"></span> in the upper left corner of the page and choose <strong id="ddm_05_0013__b20920643115719">Databases</strong> &gt; <strong id="ddm_05_0013__b39211143145716">Distributed Database Middleware</strong>.</span></li><li id="ddm_05_0013__li7437257810"><span>Choose <strong id="ddm_05_0013__b1414091315521">Parameter Templates</strong> in the left navigation pane and proceed with subsequent operations based on the type of the required parameter template.</span><p><ul id="ddm_05_0013__ul517212618815"><li id="ddm_05_0013__li1617220268811">To apply a default template, click the <strong id="ddm_05_0013__b149831055619">Default Templates</strong> tab, locate the required parameter template, and click <strong id="ddm_05_0013__b65031131311">Apply</strong> in the <strong id="ddm_05_0013__b110381020568">Operation</strong> column.</li><li id="ddm_05_0013__li15759194611512">To apply a custom template, click the <strong id="ddm_05_0013__b573101814111">Custom Templates</strong> tab, locate the required parameter template, and choose <strong id="ddm_05_0013__b27611818117">More</strong> &gt; <strong id="ddm_05_0013__b18771018911">Apply</strong> in the <strong id="ddm_05_0013__b184941173219">Operation</strong> column.</li></ul>
<p id="ddm_05_0013__p3571105014158">A parameter template can be applied to one or more DDM instances.</p>
</p></li><li id="ddm_05_0013__li18706155616397"><span>In the displayed dialog box, select one or more DDM instances that you want to apply the parameter template to and click <strong id="ddm_05_0013__b1835121411590">OK</strong>.</span><p><p id="ddm_05_0013__p316713683017">After the parameter template is applied to DDM instances successfully, you can view its application history by referring to <a href="ddm_05_0014.html">Viewing Application Records of a Parameter Template</a>.</p>
