Under <strong id="opengauss_01_0056__en-us_topic_0241495502_b155592161758">Database</strong>, click <strong id="opengauss_01_0056__en-us_topic_0241495502_b056012161059">GaussDB</strong>.</span></li><li id="opengauss_01_0056__lb7a94adb746945549de0480d03e6919d"><span>In the navigation pane on the left, choose <strong id="opengauss_01_0056__aac73ac6a5277470ca896f424ceddcc09">GaussDB(openGauss)</strong> > <strong id="opengauss_01_0056__a8989b0cbeb2940689376ccc2b84bc056">Instance Management</strong>.</span></li><li id="opengauss_01_0056__l5d14f14f79fc473ca0796e4c4b9ccb63"><span>On the <strong id="opengauss_01_0056__a541dbe1326ba48edafe3f3ae267a8ea6">Parameter Template Management</strong> page, click <strong id="opengauss_01_0056__accd798fb76fb495491d66867f61e1053">Custom Templates</strong>. Locate the target parameter template and click <span><img id="opengauss_01_0056__ibe8b80a6b5724c848e2c9975198707a2" src="en-us_image_0000001072598958.png"></span> in the <strong id="opengauss_01_0056__afa2d20c621174e44b5526cb8db5e78b1">Description</strong> column.</span></li><li id="opengauss_01_0056__l0f07cd3491b04245842874f434da4200"><span>Enter a new description. You can click <span><img id="opengauss_01_0056__i7b87af739d75400f9c07d12ff5c137af" src="en-us_image_0000001072758918.png"></span> to submit or <span><img id="opengauss_01_0056__i828c9e2eea4a417bb1cb7c0965ad0d9c" src="en-us_image_0000001072133025.png"></span> to cancel the modification.</span><p><ul id="opengauss_01_0056__u929469d0506d4b88b0d0fd50f3f67608"><li id="opengauss_01_0056__ld5c1fc27ccfc413f889b2cc58b48f9d7">After you submit the modification, you can view the new description in the <strong id="opengauss_01_0056__a9eb4d04b8f974498a833a63a4a1cd975">Description</strong> column on the <strong id="opengauss_01_0056__a3482dc0e519942b989f25e0d613d5a01">Parameter Template Management</strong> page.</li><li id="opengauss_01_0056__ldb9ca7150d22411aaf64ce10d8c89649">The description consists of a maximum of 256 characters and cannot contain the following special characters: >!<"&'=</li></ul>
