Step 1: Assign an EIP

Scenarios

You can assign an EIP for your NAT gateway so that servers in a VPC can use this EIP to access the Internet.

Procedure

For details, see Assigning an EIP. After obtaining the EIP, you do not need to bind it to a server.

You do not need to bind the EIP to any server.
