Deleting the Password for Logging In to a Windows ECS

Scenarios

After obtaining the initial password, you are advised to delete it from the system to ensure security.

Deleting the initial password does not affect ECS running or login.

Once deleted, the password cannot be retrieved, so record the password before deleting it.

Procedure

1. Log in to the management console.
2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region and project.
3. Under Computing, click Elastic Cloud Server.
4. On the Elastic Cloud Server page, select the target ECS.
5. In the Operation column, click More and select Delete Password.

   The system displays a message, asking you whether you want to delete the password.

6. Click OK to delete the password.
